The 3 times African champions have failed to qualified for the biannual Africa's most glamorous competition in sequences which has raised the expectations by the teeming who are not ready to watch the 32nd edition of tje tournament without their darling team participating.

Libya were also looking forward to qualify for the tournament after a long time absent due to culmilative factors one of which was expressively detailed in previous reportshttps://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=3877602094780288620#allposts/src=sidebar

Ighalo picked up from where he left his goalscoring touch in the last marches as he fires home Eagles to a 14mins lead against the run of play. 4mins later Ahmed Musa made it 2-0 which made seemingly difficult for the North Africa side to come back.

But the Libyans who are on their own a formidable side, steering at defeat, rejigged their game plans and stage a comeback. Mohamed Zubya made it 2-1 in the 35mins while the come back was completed in the 74mins by Ahmed Benali after the Mediterranean have increased the tempo of the game.

After the victory, Gernot Rohr have this to say;

Coach Gernot Rohr:

 “I congratulate my team for this victory. It was a huge test of our character. We lost a 2 goal lead but fought hard instead of dropping our heads. We will stay humble because we have not qualified for AFCON yet. We keep fighting.”

That sure sounds like a rhetoric of a gaffer who understands the task at hand.
